Radical Surgeon, Dr. Phillip Njemanze was on Tuesday, February 16th, 2016 arraigned before an Owerri Magistrate court presided over his Worship, S.N Ogbu on a four count charge of maligning the Imo State Governor, Rochas Okorocha.

The first charge is that the accused published and wrote a petition against the governor accusing him of setting up human factory in order to traffic in human organs through the concessioned public hospitals.

Other charges against Njemanze are: That anti human network has been established in Imo State, endangering lives of citizens; that the governor brought some American medical doctors into the State to treat a case which did not even break out in the State with ulterior motive and that the governor is causing insecurity in the State via his anti human policies.

The prosecution said the accused did the publications to cause breach of law and order in the State knowing that such publications are false.

Njemanze pleaded not guilty and was granted bail for N100,000 with one surety and two passports and affidavit.

The matter was adjourned to March 1, 2016.

Njemanze had told INNONEWS.COM  before his arrest and trial said that he has proof to back his  case.  This is coming on the dismissal of the allegation by the State government which it described as laughable.

However, investigation by this newspaper reveals that the Owerri based radical surgeon was arrested and tried perhaps in line with a request by the Serbia war crimes prosecution which asked Nigeria to investigate a state governor and Kosovo’s foreign Minister, Hashim Thaci of trafficking in human organs.

Njemanze had confirmed to this newspaper that he was arrested by the Police in Owerri to give proof of these allegations which he said is contained in a 219 page document.

“I have my proof. I will tender it to the police and this case is not personal” he had told this newspaper before his arraignment in court.

It was  gathered that the office of Serbia’s war crimes prosecutor on Thursday, 11th February, 2016 asked Nigeria to interrogate Dr. Phillip Njemanze who claimed that Kosovo politician and a Nigerian State Governor were involved in trading in the organs of Serbs who went missing during and after the war in Kosovo in 1999.

“The prosecution has started the procedure that would enable the interrogation of a person who might have knowledge about the human organs in Kosovo and in the North of Albania” the prosecution said in a statement.

The request comes after Njemanze, Chairman; Catholic Medical Doctors Association, Imo State chapter, on February 4, 2016 accused the governor of South Eastern Nigeria State of Imo province of trafficking in human organs with collaborators in Kosovo, Turkey, Croatia and other countries.

Njemanze had alleged in his petition that “For the first time in history, a government has declared it’s an organ trafficking cartel. The Imo State government is using state health facilities to facilitate an organ trafficking network”

“Foreign collaborators of the State government of Turkey, Kosovo, Croatia and others are already here in Imo to perfect the creation of the network. It is an international network with Okorocha as its local head” Njemanze submitted in his petition.

The State government has dismissed Njemanze’s allegations.

Before now, Njemanze had in 2013 raised an alarm that legalizing abortion was contained in one of the laws of Imo State.

This generated uproar and forced the State governor to approach the Imo State House of Assembly to review the law.
