Barcelona Crowned La Liga Champions

Barcelona were crowned La Liga champions for the 24th time after a Luis Suarez hat trick saw them to a 3-0 win at Granada on Saturday.

Barca had gone into their final game of the season with a one-point advantage over second-placed Real Madrid and they made no mistake at Los Carmenes as they claimed victory for a fifth successive game without conceding.

They were not made to pay for their mini-slump in April -- which brought three Primera Division defeats in a row -- as they secured a second straight title and a sixth in eight years.

Suarez scored his first goal on 22 minutes with a tap-in from close range from Jordi Alba's cross, and he headed a second before the break from Dani Alves' cross to take his La Liga tally.
