Minister, Federal Lawmakers, Ex Govs To Attend Lady Catherine Onyeukwu's Funeral

Eminent Nigerians, including the Honourable Minister of Science And Technology, Dr. Ogbonnaya Onu, serving and former governors of Imo State and Abia States   are expected to attend the funeral of late Lady Catherine Nnenna Onyeukwu  on Saturday, July 2^nd, 2016 in Owerri, Imo State.

 A statement signed by husband of the deceased, Chief Nath Onyeukwu, Ikemba Owerre, reads

“The remains of Lolo Catherine Nnenna Onyeukwu, (nee Umah) who peacefully passed on to glory on May 20, 2016, will be committed to mother earth on Saturday, July 2^nd 2016 at the Onyeukwu family mausoleum
.
"This will be preceded by an open air funeral service at our family home at No. 30 Madumere Street, Owerri, Imo State by the Praise Centre Church International. It will be presided over by the Chairman, Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN), Imo state chapter and Bishop of Praise Centre Church International, His Lordship, Bishop Stafford Nwaogu.

“She is survived by her husband; Chief Nath Onyeukwu, (Ikemba Owere) and member Imo State Elders Advisory Council, six children, fourteen grandchildren, four daughters in law, one son- in law, three brothers and a sister.

“Eminent Nigerians from various walks of life among whom include, the Minister of Science and Technology, Dr.Ogbonnaya Onu, some members of the Imo State Executive Council, members of both the National Assembly and Imo State House of Assembly, traditional rulers, the Judiciary, leading political and community leaders and top federal public servants are expected to join us at the funeral ceremony.

“May her gentle soul find internal repose in the bosom of our Lord.
