He lost to
Rochas Okorocha of the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) in the May 6,
2011 Supplementary election.
The former
Governor is yet to officially deny or confirm his new found aspiration.
However, a
group known as Okigwe Zone Youth Solidarity Forum (OZYSM), last week, called on
the former Governor to run for Okigwe senatorial seat in 2015.
Leader of the
group, one Comrade Victor Christopher said the decision of the group to call on
Ohakim to contest for Okigwe senatorial seat in 2015 is borne out of his impressive
performance as Imo State Governor from 2007- 2011.
