Anti Abortion Crusader and radical surgeon, Dr. Phillip Njemanze, has accused the Imo State Government of illegally taking his land and began to erect structures on it.
Njemanze who spoke to this blog, alleged that despite his protestations over the forceful take over of his land located at Naze in Owerri North LGA, the State Government went ahead to possess the land and has gone ahead to build structures on it.
Hear him “my property has been forcefully taken over by the State Government of Owelle Rochas Okorocha. Sometime last year, they came and surveyed the land. Infact, I had to take them to court. I wonder why a matter that is before a Court of Law will be totally disregarded and further action taken on my land.They came today to begin to build on it. This is totally unacceptable”
Njemanze said he has been target for humiliation and annihilation after he blew the lid on the law No. 12 that legalized abortion in Imo State. The law was later repealed by the Imo State House of Assembly after widespread global condemnation which trailed it.
“ I have been a target of humiliation. The site was designated located along Naze- Owerri road was kept for the construction of CHIDICON Mega complex, a project that involves private medical professionals from the United States, United kingdom and other countries.
Njemanze had earlier alleged that a lawmaker in the Imo House of Assembly is being used as a front to dispose him of the land, adding that his ordeal began after he exposed the Abortion law embedded in law no.12.
