My Role In The Fed House of Reps- Onyewuchi

 




The member representing Owerri Federal Constituency, Hon Ezenwa Onyewuchi has explained his role in the Federal House of Representatives since he was elected to the hallowed chambers in June last year.

Onyewuchi who spoke at an interactive session with members of  Owerri Pen Professionals, a group of journalists drawn from Owerri Federal Constitunecy  at his Orji country home, said he has done all he could to ensure that his constituents enjoy the full dividends of democracy.

He said he has contributed to the reduction of unemployment in the area, by ensuring the Owerri sons and daughters are adequately employed in the Federal establishments.

He also said he has taken the plight of the people of Owerri Federal constituency serious by taking advantage of  his position to attract youth and women empowerment programmes for his constituents, stressing that in 2013, he will redouble his efforts to ensure quality and effective representation for the people.

The Federal lawmaker urged journalists to be contributors to the socio economic development of the area, describing them as strategic partners in the search for the overall good of the people. He added that he has no regrets if he finds himself on a war path on issues relating to the growth of his people, a measure he said has yielded positive results for his people.

Onyewuchi who is a member of several committees in the House, said he has also successfully ensured that land owners harbouring some federal institutions in the State are adequately compensated.
