2015 Imo Guber Race: Rochas, Ihedioha Resume Fresh Hostilities

As the Imo governorship election holds in 2015, Imo State Governor, Owelle Rochas Okorocha and the Deputy Speaker, Federal House of Representatives, Rt Hon Emeka Ihedioha, have once again resumed exchange of verbal words in what signifies renewed political hostilities.


Governor Okorocha fired the first salvo at an APC rally held in Ihitte Uboma last Sunday.

He described Ihedioha as a spare tyre, describing his position as a bad one for Ndi Igbo.

The Governor maintained that Ihedioha’s  position reflects the fact the PDP has a policy of consigning Igbos to the back bench of Nigerian politics.

He also said he cannot join the PDP even if he is offered N100 billion naria,pointing out that  the APC will overrun the PDP at the presidential level.

Ihedioha had earlier lashed out Okorocha saying he will give him a technical knock out  at the 2015 polls in February.

He was quoted by a local tabloid as saying at his Mbutu countryhome “ I am Rochas headache, APC, APGA,UPP are all supporting me.”
