Jonathan To Storm Owerri For Decampees To PDP

Media reports are rife in Owerri, the Imo State capital, that President Goodluck Jonathan will visit the State with top PDP bigwigs to receive decampees to the PDP on February 21st , 2014.
A popular newspaper in Ow

erri reported today saying that among the decampees to the PDP include former Governor of Imo State, Chief Achike Udenwa and Senator representing Imo East Senatorial District, Senator Christy Anyanwu.
Details of the event were sketchy as at press time but a source in the party said serial governorship aspirant, Senator Ifeanyi Araraume will be among those to be received back to the party at the ceremony.
This blog had reported last Friday that Ex Governor Udenwa has concluded arrangements to return to the PDP after losing out in the power play in the All Progressive Congress, APC in the State where Imo State Governor, Rochas Okorocha reigns supreme.
Okorocha is also the Chairman, APC Governors Forum.
Senator Anyanwu had secured victory to the senate in 2007 on the PDP platform but decamped to the All Progressive Grand Alliance, APGA in 2011 where she won re election.

Senator Araraume had lost the PDP governorship ticket in 2007, decamped to the defunct ACN in 2011 where he lost the governorship election to Rochas Okorocha.  He is making his second return to the PDP where he is expected to run for the governorship of the party for a record third time.
