Allegations of fraud leveled against the Speaker of the Imo State House of Assembly, Rt Hon Benjamin Uwajumuogu will be investigated by 6 man committee of the House.
UWAJUMUOGU
Uwajumuogu had come under severe criticism from his former media aide, Ikenna Samuelson Iwuoha, who accused the Speaker and his aides of fraud.

Samuelson, a social critic says he has verifiable evidence to prove beyond reasonable doubt that Uwajumuogu, his Chief of Staff and Media Adviser are partners in siphoning public funds.

He said he has reported the Speaker, his sister, a high profile socialite based in Abuja, the Speaker’s Chief of Staff and his media adviser, to the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) , stating that the anti graft agency has taken up the matter for investigation.

Last week, the social critic unveiled photos of the Speaker’s properties which he allegedly acquired with stolen funds. The photos went viral on the internet.

However, the Speaker set up a committee headed by Hon Ikenna Emeh to investigate the allegations. The committee is expected to invite Samuelson and Kenneth Uwadi to the House of Assembly to testify on the allegations.
Samuelson described the committee as a kangaroo one set up by the Speaker to cover his misdeeds.
The Speaker’s Media Aide, Steve Ahaneku in his reaction described the allegations against his boss as false and an extension of a well designed plot and attempts to smear the Speaker’s image.
