APC loses Another Chieftain In Imo

In line with a story published by this blog that the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) are bent on poaching political loyalists of Imo State Governor, Owelle Rochas Okorocha, another political heavyweight in the All Progressive Congress, APC in Imo State, Felix Idiga has  left the APC and jumped into the PDP.

Idiga, a business mogul, is a senatorial aspirant on the APC platform before his decampment to the PDP yesterday.

Sources said efforts to persuade Idiga to remain in the APC proved futile.

Idiga popularly called JAFAC, said he had to dump the APC for the PDP in order to advance the interest of the people of Orlu Zone.

Orlu zone is Governor Okorocha’s zone which has political heavyweights such as Senator Hope Uzodinma and former Governor Achike Udenwa.

Udenwa decamped to the PDP from the APC recently.

According to Idiga, he also left the APC with over 15,000 of his supporters, noting that there is need to keep Orlu Zone in the mainstream of politics of Nigeria.
