Rumble In Imo APC.. Stakeholders Stage Walk Out Against Governor

There is rumbling in the Imo State chapter of the All Progressive Congress, APC,.

Local tabloids in Owerri report that stakeholders in the party  were peeved with the decision of the State Governor, Rochas Okorocha to impose certain persons as leaders of the party at the wards, local Government and State levels

The imposition was said not to have gone down well with political henchmen of the Governor such as Senator Osita Izunaso , Hon Uche Onyeagocha and others.  They were reported to have staged a walk out on their boss, thus fueling speculations that they may be on their way out of the APC.

Izunaso is known to be Okorocha's political man-friday. He is presently, the National Organizing Secretary of the APC and represented Orlu Senatorial zone in the Senate between 2007-2011 

Meanwhile, at the stakeholders meeting of the party held at Government House, Owerri, Hilary Eke emerged Chairman of the party in the state. Other party executives also emerged.   

The gale of defections had rocked Imo APC in recent times. Okorocha's political friends and allies such as Gibson Njemanze(Oyiga) who served Okorocha as Mayor Of Owerri, Multi millionaire and Okorocha's kinsman, Felix Idiga and lately, Marshal Okafor Anyanwu left the APC for the PDP.
