PDP Governorship Aspirant in Imo State, Mr. Ken Ojiri has outlined reasons why
he is the best among the lot that are aspiring to be Imo State Governor in
2015.
Ojiri who
spoke at an interactive session with members of Imo Mandate Union, IMO, a
support group in Owerri, said the time has come for the State to be managed by
experts and professionals who understand the rudiments and task of governance.
He said one
of the reasons why he joined the contest is to manage the resources of the
State and create channels to increase its revenue to ensure optimum delivery of
the dividends of democracy in Imo State.
He said
having managed the resources of several multinational companies in Nigeria and
abroad for two decades, he has the capacity to transform Imo State within the
ambit of its resources.
“There are
many aspirants who have the experience to govern Imo State, but I have the
relevant experience which is important in managing wealth and resources of the
people of the State” Ojiri stated.
He said the
State can leverage on his vast knowledge of managnent of human and financial
capital to ensure the development of the State, adding that time has come for
the people of Imo State to elect technocrats to manage its affairs.
He said the
State needs a governor with a roadmap that will secure the future of the youths
in line with ongoing global trends.
Ojiri, a chartered
financial controller and a tax expert said his vast knowledge and experience in
wealth management places him in a vintage position to move the State forward if
elected Governor.
He said he
decided to join politics in order to avail the State his vast reservoir of
knowledge which will be paramount to its development.
