Senator Anyanwu, Ken Ojiri, Okey Bakassi, Others Storm Owerri For Refomers Iniative

 



Come Friday May 20, 2016, the Reformers Initiative Group will be marking its 5 years anniversary which takes place at De-Range Hotel Umuguma, Owerri Imo State by 12 noon.

Senator Samuel Anyanwu, (Samdaddy), senator representing Imo East senatorial district will deliver the keynote address on the theme: The Nation’s Tripod and her Image Making, while the lectures on various issues  will be taken care of by Professor B.E.B Nwoke,  former Vice-Chancellor Imo State University, IMSU, Owerri and Mr. Ken Ojiri, an International Tax Administration on the topics: The "Imperative of diversifying to Agriculture in a dwindling Economy" and "Entrepreneurship as a panacea to youth unemployment and restiveness in the society" Others expected at the event are: Sir Jude Ejiogu, immediate Past Secretary to the State Government, SSG, Imo State, Engr. Dr. Ugo Ralph Ekezie, MD, Petro-Dynamics Drillog, Port-Harcourt, Rivers State, Senator Ben Murray Bruce, Chairman/Chief Executive, Silver Bird Group, Hon Ezenwa Onyewuchi, member Representing Owerri Federal Constituency at the Lower House of the National Assembly, Deacon Chike Okafor, Member House of Representatives and Chief Paschal Okolie, MD, Palm Petroleum Limited.Chairman, Christian Association of Nigeria, CAN, Imo State Chapter,Bishop Stafford Nworgu, President Pentecostal Fellowship of Nigeria, PFN, Imo State Chapter, Bishop Maxwell Korie, Chief Osita Nwaneri, a political Stakeholder, Chief Christian Anukam, Interim President, Owerri Community Assembly and Mr. Okechukwu Onyegbula, popularly known as Okey Bakassi and a veteran Nollywood Actor will also be in attendance.

The event will feature Dr. Mma Olebara, Deacon Donald Igbo, Dr. Mrs. Cele Njoku, Rector Federal Polytechnic Nekede Owerri, Hon Chukwuka Okoroji among others.

It is expected that representaives from various institutions and traditional rulers will be in attendance, even as some were appealed to sponsor about 20 youths from their areas so as to benefit from the programme.

Royal fathers like HRM Eze (Dr.) Emma Okeke, HRH Eze Sampson Okwudimma, Eze-Elect Samuel Ugho (Ubakason Plaza) among others will be coming alongside their nominees.

Convener and Director of the Non-profit making organization, Prince Joseph Nwosu-Okorie said the event is aimed at re-awakening the  consciousness of the youths towards  the Nigeria project and the need to take up the mantle of leadership anywhere, and knowing the benefits of being a good follower, adding that it will afford participants the opportunity to know what to do in the face of economic downturn in the nation and in Imo State in particular.

Nwosu-Okorie called on all to attend the programme for a better society, saying “knowledge is power and no knowledge is a waste”.
