Arsenal Coach , Arsene Wenger has handed Imo State
born Kelechi Nwakali a first team squad number.
Nwakali was signed by the gunners in January 2016
after a splendid outing at the FIFA U-17 World Cup held in Chile which Nwakali
and his colleagues in Nigeria’s Golden Eaglets won.
He was the captain of the victorious Nigeria squad.
He was handed Jersey number 25, the same number
the Frenchman handed to former Nigeria Super Eagles captain, Nwankwo Kanu during
his stay at the Gunners.
Wenger was reported to be convinced on the skills of
the young Nigerian who effectively co-coordinated the Golden Eaglets mid- field at the Junior
World Cup.
He is expected to embark on pre season training with Arsenal team later this month.
