A statement signed by Sam Onwuemedo, the Chief Press Secretary to the Governor reads:

“The governor of the State, Owelle Rochas Okorocha has received with joy the good news of a new FM Radio Station built in Owerri and owned by an enterprising son of the State, Uche Ogbuagu and wishes to congratulate him for the feat.

“The governor remarked that Uche Ogbuagu has made the State proud through his monumental achievements in the entertainment industry both within the country and beyond, and has equally demonstrated remarkable love for his State with the new Radio Station.

“According to the governor, the establishment of the new Radio Station “My Radio FM 100.9” was timely because it came at a time the State government is leaving no stone unturned in its effort to attract investors to the State and successfully prosecute the government’s programme of factory, factory, factory and job, job, job.

“The governor assured Uche Ogbuagu that his government would provide for the Station all the enabling environment to operate and would equally give him all the necessary support to ensure that the Radio Station grows from strength to strength.

“He called on all other Imo sons and daughters who have the means to follow the good example of Uche Ogbuagu by coming home to invest in the overall interest of the State and her good people.
The governor prayed that the almighty God would open more doors for Uche Ogbuagu to enable him bring more investments to his home State so that we all can collectively build the State of our dreams and aspirations.

“He urged Imo people to encourage him and by extension encourage other willing investors from the State by patronizing him.
