Some PDP Governors who are averse
to the second term bid of President Goodluck Jonathan are said to be disposed
to form a new political party.
They are said to be seven in
number and voted for Rivers State Governor, Rotimi Amaechi in the Nigeria
Governor Forum Election. They are mainly from the Northern part of the country.
It was also gathered that they
have enlisted for the support of a former president of the Federal Republic of
Nigeria who has of late been critical to the polices and programmes of the
present administration.
Details of the new party were
sketchy as at press time, but a national daily confirmed such moves yesterday
.
The ruling PDP had suspended
Governors Rotimi Amaechi of Rivers State and Aliyu Wammako of Sokoto State
recently.
