The Imo
State Police Command has freed the six suspects allegedly involved in the attempted bomb
attack on Living Faith Church, Owerri, (Winners Chapel)

reports in Owerri quoted the Imo State Police Command PPRO, DSP Andrew Enwerem
as saying that after extensive investigations and interrogations conducted by the Police,
there is nothing incriminating found on the suspects
He confirmed
that no one was caught in the act of planting the bomb, rather in the course of
investigation “ these people were picked up to explain their movement which they
adequately did and they were let off the hook”
He thanked
members of the public for their vigilance on their surroundings and
neigbourhood. He recalled that the vigilance of the people contributed to
apprehending a young man at City School, Owerri who had luggages and was not
boarding any vehicle.
He added
that when the police learnt of the matter they moved in swiftly and
interrogated the man and discovered that he was not harmful or posed any threat
to lives and property.
