Bethel Nzimako, Prof Jude Njoku,  Senator Bright Nnwanne, Chief (Barr) Charles Onyegabako, Mr. Ken Ojiri and Mrs Clara Njoku, the aspirants  said the position of the party executives does not conform to the process of decision making in the PDP

The meeting which took place at the country home of one of the aspirants, Barr. Humphrey Anumudu,  reads  in part “ The attention of the aspirants also has been drawn to a  Press Release issued by the State party secretary and published in the Announcer Weekend Newspaper of June 20, 2014, page 8, paragraph two(2) conveying a purported decision of the State Working Committee (SWC) of the party that the party in Imo State has not zoned and will not zone any position to any specific area”

While they pledged to work together and assiduously in a renewed spirit of brotherhood to ensure that Owerri Zone produces the next governor of Imo State, they vowed to engage relevant party authorities on the matter, urging their supporters to remain calm.  .
