Hon Ekeh
Newly sworn in Commissioner of Chieftaincy Affairs and Community Government Council (CGC) in Imo State, Hon Innocent Ekeh has unveiled his plans to reposition his ministry with the aim of achieving set targets and objectives in line with the rescue mission of the Okorocha administration.

Speaking to journalists after he was sworn in by the State Governor, Ekeh said he will resort to stock taking to assess the problems facing the ministry and come up with plans on how to improve its performance.

He said he will not allow challenges facing the ministry to limit his output, adding that as a former member of the legislature he has vast wealth of experience to live up to expectation.

He said his performance will not be limited by paucity of funds, stressing that he will use several methods and initiatives to achieve his vision and programmes of the ministry.

“I do not believe in limitations. Because I know I am better suited to be a commissioner having been a legislator” he explained.

He said the newly constituted State Executive Council is like a football team where team players are assigned different positions with the overall aim of achieving a collective goal, stating that with the contribution and input of everyone, Imo State will be better.

Defending the actions and policies of his political party, the All Progressive Congress, APC the former lawmaker said the party is not responsible for the downturn of the economy which was caused by the PDP.

He said “The APC is not the cause of the present problems on ground. We did not cause the fall in prices of crude oil. Therefore any responsible government will tighten its belt based on the current situation on ground.

“We all have to make sacrifices. We all enjoyed the days of oil boom, therefore we must stick together to solve the present problems at hand” he said.

He said soon the fear of hardship will be overcome expressing optimism that the present administration will not fail to bring the much desired change the people voted for.
