Ohaneze Ndi Igbo To Present Wish List To Buhari

. Second Niger Bridge, Road Projects Top Agenda.

Ohaneze Ndi Igbo Friday unveiled a wish list which it intends to present to President Muhammadu Buhari at Aso Rock Villa, Abuja.

The group says it intends to visit the president at  a later date to present their demands.

Innonews.com was told that key leaders of the group met in Enugu where they came up with a wish list which include: reconstruction of Enugu- Umuahia – Port Hracourt road, the Enugu – Onitsha express road, appointment of more special Assistants of Igbo extraction because Igbos are not well represented in his government.

 Other demands include: completion of the second Niger Bridge.

The leaders were said to have resolved to ask the President to set up the Eastern Nigeria Development Commission, ENDC to deal with issues of unemployment of Igbo youths which they said was responsible for the continued agitation for the Biafrian republic by IPOB.

Media reports reveal that the search for a new Chairman of the group following the end of the tenure of the present executive led by Igariwey was also discussed.

The demands of the group is coming few weeks Imo State Governor, Rochas Okrocha brokered a “peace deal” between rival factions claiming leadership of the group.

Meanwhile, the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) has tackled Ohaneze saying Ohaneze Ndi Igbo  was looking "for access to President for the selfish interest of its members as they are using the blood of dead Biafrans to enrich themselves”
