High Chief Gibson Achonwa Njemanze (Oyiga) has
resigned his appointment as the Mayor of Owerri Zone.
Chief Njemanze in a letter dated March Ist, 2014 to His Excellency, the Governor of Imo State,
Owelle Rochas Okorocha, the Mayor said he resigned to avoid a conflict with his
official duties and his
Part of the letter reads “For the avoidance
of obvious conflict with my official duties as the Mayor of Owerri zone and my
political aspiration, i hereby resign my appointment as the Mayor of Owerri
zone”
Chief Njemanze thanked His
Excellency, Owelle Rochas Okorocha for the privilege of serving in his government
and pray that God will continue to guide him towards the full actualization of the
Rescue Mission agenda.
