Local tabloids in Owerri, Imo State last week reported that members of the Imo State House of Assembly are reluctant to begin deliberations on the 2013 Budget proposal presented to it by the State Governor, Rochas Okorocha a fortnight ago
The lawmakers according to reports are said to be insisting that funds for their respective constituency projects said to be running into several millions of naria are made available to them before they open deliberations on the Budget before they vacate for the Christmas holidays soon.
There was no independent confirmation of this development, but a source in the House described the report as 'fallacy that hold no water'
It will be recalled that Governor Okorocha had presented a budget of N195 billion naria for the 2013 fiscal year to members of the House for approval
