Senator Anyanwu, Ihedioha, Others Win 2012 Legislative Awards

 





 Senator Chris Anyanwu, senator representing Imo East Senatorial District has been nominated by a group as the best senator of the year.
                        According to Nze Godwin Ekenulo, the President of the organization, Senator Anyanwu secured the award after critical examination of her contributions in the Senate by prominent political stakeholders in the state and unbiased independent opinion polls conducted within the state.
            Nze Ekenulo further gave kudos to Senator Anyanwu for being dogged, visionary and patriotic in attracting infrastructural development and empowerment programmes for members of her constituents. 
The organization also gave Rt. Hon. Emeka Ihedioha the Deputy Speaker, House of Representative as the State Best Leader in the National Assembly while Hon. Jerry Alagbaoso and Hon Gerald Irona bagged the State Best House of Representatives members a result of their decency and quality  contributions on bills and motions that borders on public interest mo
In a similar development, the national leadership of Mbaise Secondary School Old Boys Association (MSSOBA) has also presented a Meritorious Award to Distinguished Senator Chris Anyanwu.
Barr. Cyril Anyanwu the National President of the association pointed out that Senator Anyanwu deserve the award based on her benevolent activities and support to the growth and development of the institution.
Barr. Anyanwu who gave the award at the school open field during the institution’s well attended Home coming and Merit awards to their distinguished teachers, old boys and friends of the institution disclosed that the Senator single- handedly attracted the Federal Government to build a multi-million naira ultra modern library with internet facilities.
He applauded the Senator for her qualitative and effective representative of the state in the Senate noted that the digital library was equally furnished with functional Plant House courtesy of the Senator.
The National President passionately appealed to Senator Anyanwu not to relent in her patriotic zeal assuring the willingness and commitment of the institution and their old boys  in partnering with the Senator in all her political endeavours.
Responding, Senator Anyanwu expressed  sincere  gratitude for the award and recalled how her Late father Chief N.D. Ukah as a teacher contributed in the establishment of the institution.
Other recipients of the institution’s old boys award were Rt. Hon. Emeka Iheadioha, Sir Patrick Ekeji, Mr. Frank Nneji Chief Cajetan Nnamdi, Sir C. A. Imo, Dr. Jude Amaefule, Prof. Onyemaechi Ekechukwu, Mr. Godian Ihuoma, Senator B. C. Agunanne, Dr. T. C. Obani and Chief  M.  U. Amanze among others.
