Agbaso Regains Soul Of Imo APGA, As Appeal Court Reinstate Umeh As National Party Chair

Umeh(With Red Cap) And Agbaso(fair skinned) after The Ruling
The battle for the soul of the Imo State chapter of the All Progressive Grand Alliance (APGA) appears to be presently tilting in favour of  Chief Martin Agbaso over his rival, Capt Emmanuel Iheanacho.

Agbaso now has the edge over Iheanacho in APGA following the ruling of the Appeal Court in Abuja today which reinstated Chief Victor Umeh as the national chairman of APGA.
Before the Appeal Court judgment, the party had been headed by Maxi Okwu who seems to be favourbaly disposed to Capt Iheanacho's camp.

Agbaso and Iheanacho are at political crossroads as the duos have fought extensively to displace each other to take control of the party structure in ImoState.
Agbaso is said to be backing Umeh to regain his seat while Iheanacho was fingered to be the financial muscle propelling the Maxi Okwu group

With Umeh now in charge of the party at the national level, Agbaso now has the edge over his political rival. And if Umeh remains as APGA party chairman from now to the polls in 2015, then the coast can be said to be clear for Agbaso to pick the APGA governorship ticket in Imo State.

This Blog learnt that Imo APGA has been fractured in recent times. Parallel party executives from the ward to the state levels remain divided with each structure pledging its loyalty to the two political antagonists in the party.

Iheanacho and Agbaso, both from Emekuku in Owerri North Local Government Area of Imo State have been entangled in a bitter war. They both Governorship ambition.

They threw caution to the wind as they engaged each other in verbal exchange of words, a situation which prompted the intervention of their kinsmen.

However, a temporary ceasefire was brokered by the kinsmen of the duo which they have strictly complied to at least for now.
