No Lassa Fever In Imo, Says Governor's Aide On Health

 



The outbreak of the deadly disease, Lassa fever, in some states of the federation is not in Imo State.

Dr. David Ihejirika, Special Adviser to the State Governor on Health, told journalists that there is no reported case of Lassa fever outbreak in Imo State.

 Ihejirika’s reaction was coming on the heels of newspaper reports that five persons has contracted the disease in the State.

The former Commissioner for Health said proactive measures have been taken to forestall the outbreak and spread of the disease in the State.
