| A flood ravaged area in Owerri |
The heavy downpour in Owerri, Imo State capital has led to
flood in some parts of the city. This blog learnt that yesterday’s (19/9/2012)
rains which began as early as 6am in the morning affected the movement of most
residents.
This led to traffic congestion in major areas.
Mostly affected are residents of Item Street, Ikenegbu who
have become used to flood whenever it rains in the city. People were sighted
trekking to their various places of work as motorists and transporters had to
make a detour in some areas to avoid being caught by the hold up or go slow
