Ex Senator Anyanwu Backs Buhari's Anti Corruption War

Anyanwu
Former Senator representing Imo East Senatorial Zone, Senator Chris Anyanwu has backed the ongoing fight against corruption embarked on by the Buhari administration.

Anyanwu who spoke at the commissioning of her new radio station, HOTFM, in Asaba, Delta State recently, said the idea of anti corruption is good for the country.
“I think the idea of anti corruption is very good. I think we got a little bit too extreme in our carelessness in our practices, so there is need to apply breaks on what we do in the system and no society can survive in a situation where people can do anything and get away with anything” she said

He said what the present administration is doing to tackle corruption in the country is a welcome development stating that everybody is corrupt.

"What he is doing is necessary but he has to really make sure that his application is pure as he intended” she said

On the continued detention of Radio Biafra Director, Nnamdi Kanu,  SenatorAnyanwu said there is no need for special laws to be applied in handling Kanu’s matter.

“I think this is a democracy and we do have Constitution, we have laws and whatever the law says should be applied.

“If the law says after a while, you should give a bail then it has to apply to him. I don’t think any special laws should be applied to to deal with him
