An
opposition leader in Imo State and the Action Congress of Nigeria (ACN)
governorship candidate in the 2011 governorship election, Senator Ifeanyi
Araraume has lost his one of his property in Owerri to the ongoing demolition
exercise carried out by the APGA led Rochas Okorocha Administration.
Araraume
is challenging of the validity of the May 6, 2011 supplementary election that
catapulted Okorocha to the Imo State governorship seat.
This
blog gathered that notice had been served the senator to remove the wall of
fence surrounding one of the properties. The senator was said to have
challenged the notice for removal in a court of law, which was allegedly
disregarded by the task force on demolition of illegal structures.
The
task force was set up by the Okorocha Administration to remove illegal
structures as part of efforts to beautify Owerr metropolis.
